I don't know how, but they did it.

For my first entry on "Think Moderate" I touched on the disrespect displayed by the US government when they began to consolidate fallen soldiers' memorial services. And I ended the piece wondering how they could further dishonour those who were prepared to give their lives for their country. Unfortunately, I found my answer.

"Nyles Reed, 75, of Houston, was given his medal Monday by U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, after military officials awarded him a certificate but said he would have to pay for his own medal, the Houston Chronicle reported."

This is how the US treats its heroes? There are no negative superlatives to even begin to describe the audacity of this. I am speechless... literally.

  1. Congrats Dude!

You have just won the most frustrating post of the day award! Now, all you have to do is come up with a real cool award graphic, load it to your site and link it to the award site which you will first have to create.

Congrats again! The honour is, I'm sure, all yours!
